Sara’s Pick: One Day in December by Josie Silver

Two strangers make a connection – one on a bus, the other on the sidewalk. Laurie’s not one to believe in love at first sight, but feels as though this unknown man is the one for her and spends the next year along with her best friend, Sarah, looking for him. Then at a Christmas party the next year, she’s introduced to him – as Sarah’s new boyfriend. Neither speaks up, and they spend the next ten years being friends, facing heartache and hoping for something more.
