Cori’s Pick: A Good Marriage by Kimberly McCreight
A Good Marriage is Kimberly McCreight’s second novel set in Park Slope, Brooklyn – the first was Reconstructing Amelia (2013), which I immediately requested after finishing A Good Marriage!
I’m going to keep this one short, because I’m not going to spoil ANYTHING for you! This is a complex mix of a psychological and legal thriller with plenty of twists and turns and an ending I didn’t see coming. With a thick cast of characters, any of which could be guilty, I really enjoyed the perspectives and back stories of each character and sped to the end trying to figure out ‘what really happened to Amanda?’ My recommendation, read the synopsis of the story here and JUMP IN! This is the best thriller I’ve read since The Last Mrs. Parrish (which remains my all-time favorite, reviewed here) but this was a close second for me! Enjoy!
