Penguin Problems

Dallas’ Pick: Penguin Problems by: Jory John

Oh my goodness, this is probably the funniest children’s book I have ever read! The title is what made me pick up this book to begin with; it is just fun to say. As I began to read it and learn about this penguin that has such a negative look on life, I could not help but to laugh. This penguin is just like one of those people that you meet that always seems to have a bad day. The struggles this poor penguin faces are very random but can surly brighten your day. The end of the book puts into perspective for you as to why you should not always have a bad day and that sometimes you just need to look on the bright side of life. Now even though this is a children’s book I don’t believe they truly understand the underline humor that goes along with it. For the parents reading to the little ones, I imagine that you will get a kick out of it.
