Sara’s Pick: A Robot in the Garden by Deborah Install
This is a delightful story of a man (Ben) who finds a broken robot (Tang) in his garden and sets out on a mission to find someone who can fix him. Ben’s life is falling apart and he decides to do something worthwhile by helping Tang find the part he needs before his machinery stops working. Tang has a wonderfully childlike attachment to Ben and travels with his new friend to find the solution to his mechanical problem while Ben discovers that he isn’t a failure after all.
