Sara’s Pick: Happiness : The Crooked Little Road to Semi-ever After by Heather Harpman 

A New York couple who thought they couldn’t have children become pregnant. He doesn’t want children (although if he DID have a child, he’d want it to be with her). She moves back to California to be close to her mother and friends who become her support group. Then, when her daughter is born and is very sick, the father gradually moves back into their lives and they have to make some hard choices about her medical treatment and their relationship. Told with humor and heartache this is an uplifting story of two people who confront parental fears and relationship issues to provide the best outcome for their daughter.
