Kathryn’s Pick: The Maze Runner by James Dashner

Before picking up this book I saw The Maze Runner movie adaptation. The movie was interesting but never left me with the urge to pick up the book and discover more. Luckily, I recently changed my mind. After getting through the first few chapters I couldn’t put it down.

The Maze Runner follows the story of Thomas, a boy who wakes up trapped inside of a man-made maze.  Thomas awakened without any memories of who he was or why was there. His trials to gain acceptance from the others trapped in The Maze and his determination to find a way out bring wonderful character attributes to light. In-depth tech, deep friendships, mutations, and the idea of all-seeing creators make this one perfectly concocted dystopian novel. If you liked books like The Hunger Games and Divergent, then I highly recommend this one for you!
