Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine

Cori’s Pick: Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

Yes!  Another debut novel and another author to add to my growing list of ‘what’s next?!’.

Gail Honeyman released this debut novel in May and I just happened to grab it before a weekend beach trip.  Turns out, it was the perfect vacation read!

Stuff this book in your carry-on and you’ll be charmed by the hilariously oblivious main character, Eleanor.  Her vocabulary is to die for, her social skills leave something to be desired.  When she unknowingly makes a new friend that lures her out of her mundane existence, Eleanor learns what true care and friendship is and that she is worthy of it.  This is one of those wonderful books that just makes you smile and feel good.  The takeaway: it is never too late, for any of us.
