Stop Asking Jesus into your Heart

Dallas’ Pick: Stop Asking Jesus into Your Heart by J.D. Greear

This is not a normal book I would read. I typically stick to fiction books and since I work in the Children’s Department I tend to read more children’s books. That being said Stop Asking Jesus into Your Heart was a very good book. This is a Christian inspirational book and deals with eternal salvation and knowing whether or not you are saved. I originally picked up the book because I thought the title was interesting, I turned out liking the book more than I would have imagined. I have struggled with the thought of eternal salvation and if I was living on the right path that was intended for me. Greear assures readers that they are not the only people to feel this way. I found it very helpful and relatable. He shares multiple personal stories and life choices that many Christians around the world make. Some of those decisions may not be the easiest but it does give you a hint of peace to know that you are not the only one feeling that way. Now this is a Christian help book so if you are not into faith or Christianity this would not be a book for you, but for many Christians who have just a few more questions and feel like they are alone will enjoy this book and the stories and facts inside.
