We now have a podcast!

Statistical Adventures is a podcast that dives deep into the fascinating world of library statistics. Tune in every month as we look at and explore different stats from our library and discuss what trends they might show and why this data is so important.

Our first episode is out now, and you can listen in as we introduce the hosts and our library. We chat about our library’s annual stats on how many people come through our doors, how many items are getting checked out, and how many programs we run. We also go over some of our most checked out items of 2023. Play along and try to guess the stats with one of the hosts, and let us know if you are surprised by anything that’s revealed!

You can listen to Statistical Adventures on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, or click the link below! If you listen to podcasts somewhere else, we are in the process of making the podcast available on other platforms, so check back soon on your platform of choice. If you still don’t see “Statistical Adventures” be sure to let us know!

Meet Your Hosts!

Skylyn: Hi! I’ve worked at the Winter Haven Public Library almost 2 years and have been a big reader all my life. My favorite genres are romance and fantasy! In the short moments when I am not at work or reading, I am chilling with my adorable cats. I also love any sort of crafting, and my current non-book obsession is EPIC: The Musical!

Tasha: Hiya~! I’ve worked in libraries, academic and public, for over thirteen years. I grew up reading so much, my teachers had to take books away from me in class. I enjoy lots of different genres, but my favorite are horror, fantasy, and science fiction. My second love besides reading, are my cats, who hang out in my lap while I play video games, my third love. FOR THE HORDE!!

We hope you enjoy listening in and are as surprised by the numbers as we are. This will be on a monthly release, during the first week of a month. Any questions or comments? Here’s our gmail!
