Kathryn’s Pick: Stung by Bethany Wiggins

Imagine falling asleep in your bed only to wake up in a completely altered version of your world. For one teen that was exactly the case. This novel follows the story of Fiona, a lone girl who woke in her bed with a strange tattoo on her arm in a divided world. Others bearing this tattoo roam the streets mindlessly attacking the unbranded, while a privileged few live inside a fortress swearing to kill all of those that bear the mark. I was truly impressed with the complexity and twists that caused the breakdown of society, what the mark actually means, and by the relationships formed throughout this journey.
